Every Apple computer now comes with iLife, a new suite of software applications that allow you turn your Mac into a hub of home entertainment. iLife provides the tools to create and edit your own media content, whether it's a photo album, a home movie or a piece of music.

The various components of iLife - iPhoto, iDVD, iMovie and GarageBand - fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to create a slick, professional experience. So you could for example, import and edit a home movie clip, search your iTunes library for the perfect accompanying soundtrack and then create a DVD using i-DVD. iMovie

iMovie allows you to enhance your own movie clips, with colour and audio controls presented as floating palettes. You can even do voice over recordings or add cinematic titles and credits. It also provides a built-in library store all your videos.

GarageBand

GarageBand turns your Mac into a personal, multi-track recording studio. You can create a virtual band as well as record, edit and mix a song before burning a CD of pristine quality.

iWeb

iWeb allows you to create and publish your own website. Starting with a choice of Apple-designed templates, you can then customise your site using your own photos, text and choice of colours.

iWork '08 is a new software package that provides streamlined word processing and the tools to create spreadsheets, stunning presentations and professional documents. Pages`08 for example, makes slick-looking brochures, newsletters and even business cards, with a choice of professional page layouts; while Keynote '08 creates cinema-quality presentations allowing you to tell your story with polish.

iWork provides the most intuitive word processing application available on a Mac, with a new contextual format bar that puts the most logical tools within easy reach - and with fewer clicks.
